What causes ski to shut off/cut out?

something new , this never happened before:
coming out of no-wake zone and reving to 4500, ski just shut off . one long beep and screen read 0 rpm`s. I unplugged lanyard, fired ski back up and on my way. about a 1/2 hour later idling in no wake zone and ski just shut off again, same thing, refired ski and pulled out at the ramp a few minutes later...what could this be???...PR...

When our gtx sc was new water got into the gauge cluster and caused the problems you describe. It was strange because it started with shutting the ski off and doing strange things with the cluster until it finally progressed (over a couple of days) to the point that the cluster went completely off but the ski was able to run, although it was alarming every 30 seconds or so about a communication problem.

Had the same thing happen to the wifes 2006 GTX. It turned out to be a bad fuel pump that was replaced under warranty.....but a zillion other things could also be the cause.

Battery is a new Oddy, checked ground connection to block when I moved/rotated the lug when installing stock IC and hoses.
checked connections elsewhere and they seem good. Ski mostly riddin in brackish waters, not totally salt, so I don`t see any corrosion, and interior is very clean, so what`s up?...PR...
