    cleaning up the ski

i recently picked up a 98xpl which is in pretty good shape. i noticed some fading, but once i pulled the old registration numbers off, there was more fading than i thought. here are some before and after pics.

    the steps were as follows

1 - clean ski thoroughly using soap and water, then wipe down with acetone.
2 - lightly wet sand with 1500 grit wet/dry sandpaper
3 - apply 3M fibreglass restorer and wax (2 coats)
4 - apply 3M marine ultra performance wax.

all said and done it took 3-4 hours to complete. i highly recommend the 3M products. they are a bit pricey, but they work great. the pictures don't really do it justice, but the ski looks brand new again.

Good job on that Jeremy. I'm ready to go back to Norris.
