Oil Level question , this thing mixes me up :(
When I check my engine oil of my RXP in the garage its let say in the middle of the operating level, than when I go for a run and engine is still hot the oil level rises up
Can someone explian how this works and which is the good oil level ??

it rises up because the engine oil expands when it's hot.
the correct way to check your oil is when the engine is at operating temperature. shut it down and wait 30 seconds and then check your oil.
it's best to have it between the two bends on the dip stick.

Always check the oil when the ski is level in the water and the engine is warm. You get different readings because the oil settles in places once it's cooled off.
The proper steps are to warm up engine, once warm, idle for 30 seconds before turning off, turn off ski, wait 30 more seconds check level. It should be between both marks on the stick.
Checking in the garage will give you inaccurate results unless your bumpers are level the engine is warm. You can hook it up to a hose if you need to but honestly, it's better if you just wait till you are on the water.

Also I dont think that it is a good idea connecting up a hose as the engine will take a bit long to get to at its working tempreture ??
am I right ??
