    1ST ride 06RXP ????'s

Well. I finally rode the RXP yesterday for the first time. I am impressed with the pull it has with such little thottle. Is it normal for such a growl when you give it gas? I am assuming it is the SC.

My g/f wants to ride two up while doing the break-in. I said I didn't think it was a good idea. I weigh 200 and she weighs in at 138. Any input on the idea?

Will a bow splash deflecter really make much of a difference in the amount of spray we get? I remember why I was glad to get rid of my 951 XPs.

    Thanks for any input,
    Jim

2 up is fine. just vary the throttle, and keep the WOT bursts to a minimum. I had a BSD and removed it. I personally think they are useless for the most part. You are in water, you are going to get wet.

Yes it "growls" a bit... but I think it's just the exhaust not the SC. Regarding 2 up during break-in Steve is right on.

I rode my RXP hard for break in following some recomendations from the mechanic at the dealer. Now, my ski is running like a champ. As for the splash guards, my friend and I ordered a set. he put his on first and after trying it, I didn't bother putting mine on. I'll sell it to you if you really want it.

The splash deflector on the RXP is a GODSEND. Get the large jet trim. Don't screw around with those tiny ones.

You still will get wet, just not BLINDED.

If your girlfriend is cute, I'd definately say, have her on the ski at all times.

WITH a deflector, turning a hairpin at full boogie.
