Just hang enough off that you can get 125- 175 pounds of tongue weight.
The type of trailer or ski shouldn't matter.

just curious where everyones ride plate is in refference to the bunks etc...

ski weight/length and trailer tongue length will make a diff as to where the ski is placed on the trailer for correct percentage of tongue weight, beside the technical, I just wanted to know where the ski is winding up on your trailers, How far back does it hang over, 12", 16" or more/less...PR...

My RXP hangs about 6 inches over the bunk. My trailer is a Heritage. It is custom and they unfortunatly don't make them any more.

there's so many variables PR... you can move the winch, you can move the axle, it's all relative. you can have the same two skis on the same two trailers with the same tongue weight, but have a much different tongue weight.

I`m just checking on the average, I remember when we had our RXDI, I didn`t want the ride plate near the bunks, and thought wow that`s pretty far back, but the GTX SC is a whole dif set-up. Sometimes I see other brands of ski`s on trailer with the bunks turned on edge and they hardly hang off the back at all.

I know this sounds nuts, but someday I`m going to try something with air-bags and a solid swing arm so I can dump the air, lower the trailer, unload/load the ski and pressurize the bags for height and go, only thing that I have to think about would be a tracking arm to keep axle centered...PR...
