Should be in the brass fitting section of plumbing department.
The tap should be in the tool department.
Click on the link that K447 posted just a few posts ago and it describes exactly how to perform the plug option

on my first Yamaha..GPR1300...I welded the spout tube shut...on All the others, the first thing I do is get rid of the spray with a bolt in the hose....bring the gay spray to Mud Bug and you get hollered at...a lot ! If you plug the hole with silicone and let dry completely it will just blow out the first time you hit full throttle.....my uncle uses the valve....anytime you see a Yamaha with out the spray its usually someone who works on their ski and is probably faster than most of the regular riders. if you have a fast ski and turn on the spray you can get more races usually.

I've installed a 1/2" PEX valve with barbed ends and 2 SS hose clamps,
using the stock hose, and all works great. No issues in 5yrs.

If I'm out alone I usually keep in on. It also helps in the narrow, no wake, channel
so Id10ts don't run their bow into my ski, cause they just get wet when too close
If its really windy or I'm riding in a pack with others, I turn it off.

If I can get off from work I will be there.....so will Brad. My work is somewhat regulated and I have to request leave in order to go... I will probably be able to.....pm your cell number if you get a chance.

Removed their thru hull and replaced it with a standard thru hull and mounted one on the opposite side , then cut them off flush and now I have 2 bolt down points for my ice chest / fuel can rack.

I've used it with a regulator inline to feed fresh water to my live well before. Other than that ... OFF

1/4 turn of the handle between on and off flow.

The proportion of water diverted from the jet pump main thrust flow is really, really tiny.
Dude you have a lot of questions that's great! Your on the right track with the fx ho. The best advise I could give you is do the ribbon delete mod and put an aftermarket filter on....that's it. Then run the piss out of it
