    93 SL750 impeller question

Would there be a performance increase by swapping the stock 93 4 blade square for a later model stock 3 round blade? Is it a direct swap? anyone have one?

First you will need to swap to the newer pump. 94 and newer, wich will be a big improvment over the old one.

Rodney is right. 94 and newer have the modular pump (148mm), where the 92&93 are one piece units (146mm?). The impellers will never swap directly between the 2. Fortunately a newer jet pump will bolt right up to a 92 or 93 hull with no mods needed. Talking to a Skat Trak tech on the phone he told me the 4 blades weren't very good. The 3 blade is much better to use.

Well, I guess I need to replace the pump. If I am going to spend money, then I need to look for an extended pump. What models should I look for?

Almost any ski after 96, except some SLT's and Octanes I believe. Be sure to get the longer drive shaft and ride plate as well. You will need steering cable and trim extensions if you have it. This is a little dusty.,but will fit the bill. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/POLAR...QQcmdZViewItem

Sure will, get all the parts you can. Ride plate, steering cable, drive shaft, trim rod,.... EVERYTHING you can.

The big mouth pump from the 99 twin is the extended pump you're looking for. As stated above, get what you can from the owner relating to or touching the propulsion system.
The impeller will probably NOT be what you're looking for and you'll have to hunt one down.

It has a 12/17 stock. Not bad for pulling passangers or out of the hole accel. You may want the 13/18 or possibly a 14/19 (with engine upgrades) for top speed.
