    Just a little FYI

I'm sure some of you may know this already.

If you have lost a couple hundred RPM's from your RXP, don't rule out the wear ring I think several of us think if the wear ring is bad or starting to go, the RPM's will go up and the ski will start to cavitate and loose speed. If the wear ring is completely shot this will be the case. Last weekend I lost 200 RPM's. The wear ring didn't look that bad. I had a spare wear ring and changed it out. The old wear ring had some small grooves and a few "pits". The wear ring replacement brought back the RPM's and the lost MPH.

Just something to keep in mind.

thats great info Greg! I always thought you would gain RPM's with a worn wear ring, but I also found that lost RPM and speed was directly attributed to a worn ring.
