Thread: Amature Weekend

I know you guys have got to have some good stories from Memorial Day weekend.
This guy was stuck like this for a couple hours. One tow-strap broken by an F350 trying to help. Three police boats, on Police Jeep and more police after I left from what I hear. Offered to help, but heard he was too pig headed to listen to anyones advice so I quickly gave up. Wouldn't even disconnect the trailer 'til it was too late.
edit: These aren't my pics (forgot camera), but I got them from the guys over on the X....couple forum member in the background there...lol

Nice, quite amazing that people would put their tow vehicle into saltwater to launch. I launched my Sportster off of Dunedin Causeway at low tide in a rented Explorer 4wd...I would never subject my own vehicle to that.

launching at the beach is no problem. launching at the beach in a 2wd truck is a problem.
i've had to back up several hundred feet to launch, never had a problem just make sure it is in 4wd before you back in.
