    Driveshaft bumpers

    Hey again everyone,

I am in the process of replacing my "hanger bearing" on the driveshaft of my sl750. I noticed that I have rubber bumper on the rear of the riveshaft and none on the front.

Does anyone know what else can be used in place of this bumper or what an alternative is, as I would like to have this thing ready for the weekend if possible.

    Thanks

Call Randy at Watcon, he has them in stock and should be able to get them to you on time.

Bummer, buy a rubber washer the thickness of the old one, cut the outer diameter to fit and slide it into the coupler end. Use lots of grease and make sure it's standing on it's end, install shaft and you can dig it out when the new one arrives.

I made a temp one out of a rubber stopper available in the hardware section of a hardware store in those drawers with the screws/bolts/etc. I cut it the same length, then cut down 8 times in an almost-circle with a razor blade, then cut in a circle all the way around and left a post of rubber. Just a tiny little trimming and it fit perfectly. Kind of hard to describe. Seemed to work fine last weekend.
