    75+ mph on a budget.....

I have been on a quest to get a repeatable 75 mph on my RXP & have acomplished it this Monday with several back to back 75+ passes & a best of 75.4 mph.

    I will list my mods:

    2006 RXP with trailer $11,000
    Used RXX Hood $243
    Riva Grate $130
    Solas 14/19R $250
    Metal SC washers $90
XS IC with silicone couplers $140
    IC pipes & blockoff $95
    IC plumbing & clamps $50
    Groco IC strainer $42
Hose and couplers for rear intake $45
Epoxy & silicone for rideplate/ grate holes $25
    Jet Trim seat cover $160
Gutted waterbox $0 (did it myself)
    Removed exhaust resonator $0

Thats $1270 for mods & $11,000 for the ski & trailer

Total $13,070 Not to bad for a 75 mph ski!!!

I have RE blockoff on order but did not count them in the total.

There are MANY people to thank for help, advice & kindness that made this happen! Jerry (Green Hulk), Kevin (Krazy K), Mike (GPRMIKE), MRO, and all the Green Hulk members!!!

Wow, 75 with the stock sc wheel. Put a greenie in when available and 75-76 will be consistent.

I'm at those same numbers, with the same mods except:

    - stock hood...
    - stock SC and injectors...
    - stock ECU...
    - Riva Skat 15/19...
    - Stock OEM water box, untouched...
    - side exit thru hull exhaust...
    - hand made skegs (3 of them, 2 long and 1 shorty)...

Thatís some nice speed with little cash! Great job!

Have you considered running a 2 degree wedge? Should put you in the solid 76mph range when you get your RE block offs. I am running the Riva wedge and rod extension with REís and really like it. I think the ski corners far better with it, too. It still puzzles me why so many people dislike the wedge on this board...*shrug*

Also, did you have to re-pitch your 14/19R? What kind of RPMís are you running?

    Again, great job!
