Is It worth It to change over to synthetic oil?
I have an 06 Sea Doo Sportster 155HP N/A Motor and I was thinking about changing over to synthetic 10W-40 like Mobil-1. Everytime I change the oil in my 4-Tech it allways looks really dirty and beat up,even if I do the oil change really early. I was wondering if synthetic would be the way to go to keep the engine cleaner and maybe even run a few degrees cooler. Anybody running synthetic in their boat and what king are you using? Thanks for any info...

IMO synthetic is the way to go. It is only a couple of dollars more. It will run cooler, not break down like a petroleum oil, and have less wear and tear on your engine.

So it's ok to switch over now? I have about 20-25 hours on the motor. I guess the most important thing is that I try and get all of the dino oil out of the engine during the oil change process....But I guess the little thats left in there won't hurt anything correct? I noticed that the 4-tec engine runs rather hot so I'm hoping the synthetic oil would help that out and keep it cleaner longer. Thanks for anymore info...
