Nitro's waste gate solenoid super quick check procedure

With the WGS installed and the ski NOT running. you should not be able to blow through it. (use either hose)

get a service manual and i'll help you find the section that shows it. You really shouldnt do anything to your ski without one.
the wgs is on the back of the engine, just behind the intercooler pipe.
nice wave jumping vid in the other section, btw..

It didnt feel like it was moving so I watched it and never saw it moving at all whilst the ski is running. With the ski stopped I gently moved the mechanism with some Vise Grips and whilst quite stiff it did move.
Should this mechanism be quite stiff? I do lubricate it after every use and it does not look corroded.
I then did the "Nitro quick check method" and found that I could not blow through either hose whether the ski is running or not, I also found that one of the hoses goes to a "T" piece (and from there to the actuator rod), the other hose is shorter and goes nowhere.
Does this sound correct(I assume this hose draws/releases air into the hull)
Does the ski need to be in the water, ie under load for this to function correctly? The ski has been in storage since the end of last season and ran fine last time out (59mph GPS)

The actuator is very stiff the spring does not begin to open until about 8PSI. It is much easier to check with compressed air as long as you don't overpressurize it. If you could move it, it is not seized up.
If you could not blow through the WGS while running at Idle, it is bad. If it's under warranty, have them replace it, if not you can carefully open the twist-tabs on it and free it up with some CRC 656 like I did. Sometimes they are beyond repair if they are corroded severely or the tabs have been twisted before.
