I use an amsoil product but for a non-supercharged ski, a good 10/40 oil should be fine.

Amsoil, would not even put that crap in a weed wacker! Unfortunallty its our only choice if you want a full synthetic with no friction modifiers. (4 stroke oils may be ok but 2 cycle stuff is crap)
I have tried Amsoil oils and there short term track record is not good in my experiance.
Your results may vary but the damage that company has done to my skis over the years is in the thousands of dollars range!

sorry, I call it as i see it, been a costly mistake running thier products in my 2 cycle skis.

This is a NON SUPERCHARGED ski. No need to have an oil with NO FRICTION MODIFIERS!

Get a decent synthetic and be done with it. I personally like Royal Purple.

Interesting. I've been using amoil in my two stroke for over 5 years. At my 100 hour top end inspection, my powervalves still look brand new.

I also use the same premix in my ECHO lawn tools, for the past 5 years, not a single problem.

Alot of us guys on the Yamaha side use amsoil in our two strokes.

    What problem did you have?
    Was it Lubrication Ratio related?

    Please share ?

Amsoil is without a doubt the best synthetic available.

2 Kawasaki Jetskis, one 650 and one 1200

Both had over 100 hrs of trouble free hours on Kawasaki oil. Then a friend gave me a case of Amsoil and both ski were seized within 10 hours of using the oil
Had both professionally rebuilt and both seaized again with in 10 hours
Had both redone again and both failed again using AMSOIL

Repaired again and switched to Kawasaki oil and guess what, 30 hrs on both and no issues at all

So running Amsoil cost me 6 total repairs all oil related. Changed noting but the damaged parts and the oil and no issues. Oil pumps are fine.

Is Amsoil going to pay me the thousands in damage they caused, nope, they are not.
