Use of Pre-Filter over Air Filter

Will using the "Outerwears" pre filter cover over the air filter connected to the supercharger hose hamper the air flow to the supercharger? I was thinking of using one to lessen water entering the supercharger air intake while riding without the rear seat but don't want to lose RPM's and boost by using it.

The simple answer is absolutly a "YES". Now having said that I don't really know in this exact application. I'm not sure at the hp level these engines are at if it will really matter. Someone with more experience with the doos can probably answer that better then me.

In the automotive field I have a lot of experience with this. Take for example a rear mounted turbo charger on a Camaro that makes 450 rear wheel hp. There is almost a 20rwhp difference with and without the prefilter. Again who know on a PWC...

I'd put it on with the seat off, and do your setup....or get a MASSIVE filter so that the outerwear has so much surface area it doesn't really matter.
