    Name your favorite Microbrew!

Just had a long (3 1/2 hour) lunch at a local place that serves micro brews. Had one of my favorites on tap:

This is one of my year round favorites. Always look forward to Octoberfest season and when I can find a good scottish ale. Just curious what everyones favorite might be?

Call me crazy but the less flavor the beer has the more I like it. The one that tastes the most like water is michelob-ultra.

I'll second the Golden Monkey, good stuff. That and Sapient Trip Ale, another Belgian Triple Ale like Golden Monkey. Belgian Triples are my favorite, then dopplebocks (double bock), some of the stouts, heck I even like Young's Dirty Dicks Ale. Anything more malty and less hoppy ... too hoppy messes up my head/sinuses.

Hey, same here! New Glarus Spotted Cow is good stuff. Any time I'm on the St. Croix River in the boat, I stop in Hudson, WI and pick up a few cases.

WOW!!! You guys in the States actually drink REAL ALE!! Sorry but I always imagined you were like the Aussies...... They only spell it XXXX cos they can't spell SH#T! I'm just partaking of a PINT (yes EEC Ministers---a good old fashioned PINT) of Theakstons 'Old Peculier' (not a mispell). It doesn't go to your head, just your legs! I also LOVE 'Fursty Ferret' from the Hall & Woodhouse brewery in Dorset, Badger 'Golden Glory' from same brewery, 'Dr.Johnsons Definitive Ale' from Whim brewery in Derbyshire, and Marstons 'Strong Pale Ale' (6.2%ABV) from Burton-Upon-Trent. When in the Isle of Man, a pint of Bushy's 'Piston Brew' (specially made for the TT Races) or 'Bushy Tail' goes down a real treat (but don't drive after 2 or you'll end up in the bushes!!!). We have CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) in the UK, and they list the best micro-breweries, and the bigger ones that deserve praise, in their free newspaper. If anyone is visiting the UK, send me a PM, and I'll try to put you on the right track! CHEERS!
