    how to test buzzer 96 spx

    How do you test the low oil alarm on a '96 spx??? Does it also buzz for temp??

    To test the temp alarm, if you disconnect the lead that goes to the temp sensor and ground it out, it will alarm.

    WHAT????

    -the oil level sensor lights the light on the fuel guage. ON-open circuit, OFF-closed. (ON-the two sensor wires are not touching, OFF-touching)

    If you know it's not hot just pull the temp sensor lead off. As long as you check the water flow from the pisser in the rear you should not be hot.

    yup, this temp test worked on my 94,95,96 XP's....

    yur right.....you should see a flow from the pisser
    oil level light is activated by level gauge, yup yup
