    Bored throttle body

Daniel shipped me off a 56mm bored TB to try out.

I am going to give this one a shot and then he's going to send me a 60 mm to try

It will be interesting to see the results VS stock. Especially now since i have the A/F ratio gauge hooked up.

    bored thottle body

I would like to think it would help BUT,that intake is the weakest link...seems to me. And I've got Idea's but no flow bench to test it.

Actually, the intake is very good. Les Cooke said the intake runners are perfect.

les relocated the throttle body to go directly across the bottom of the intake runners. taht flex pipe is jsut his air intake giong to the front of the ski. he hacked apart the stock intake manifold because when u remove the stock intercooler you have that whole cavity of empty hollow space where the air collects before going into the runners. so putting the manifold on a diet, relocating the TB, and putting the flex hose intake thru the cavity was his way of modifying it.... i like the idea, just alot of fab work involved it would appear.

How in gods creation did he have #1 room for the TB, #2 How was it hooked into the intake and flow... this guy must be a wiz ... or not have anything else to do, I never dreamt of getting more efficient flow that way :?

Relax ladies it's just what car and bikes tuners have been doing for years.

Or like what Buckshot has been doing to Mikuni carbs for about as long.

It is a possibility that this will cause low end torque to suffer but raise rpms a hair. I've been interested in this mod for a while and i'm eager to se the results.

heres another good pic to compare the size difference from 52 to 56mm.
if there is a improvement with the bored tb's then i would think now that most people are reflashing the ecu's or preparing to purchase rr ecu's for this season that it would be the perfect time to bore you tb's so everything syncs properly.
