What code(number) is coming up? My first guess reading your signature is a clogged intercooler

Most likely your intercooler is clogged. Take it out and clean with a core cleaner then install a inline debris filter on your water line going into your IC.
    Check Jerry's store for this...

The age has nothing to do with it.. The Riva IC will clogg with the smallest amount of debris, strainer is major important

Strainer is a godsend, cheap and easy to install. Much, much, much easier than taking out the intercooler to clean. But then it's important to remember you HAVE a strainer. First time I threw an exhaust code after installing the strainer, I dick'd around the engine for an hour before I remembered I had installed a strainer, and that it had collected a bucket of sand!
