    Pump Rebuild

I took the cone off my 04 RXP pump and water poured out. Can I order a rebuild kit here and do I need any special tools to do this?

There is a special grease to use in 4tec pumps. Dont use synthetic grease.

    Hoover:

That very thing happened to me. I found that my impeller was loose.

You might want to take apart the pump and replace the O-rings. I think everything is held together inside with c-clips, but I am not sure.

Hoover, if you had water pouring out of your pump, the bearings are more than likely toast. There is a double seal behind the prop that needs to be replaced. My grease started to get milky and I cleaned it out, repacked it and after 2hrs of operation, checked it again, it was milky again. Pulled the pump and prop, had water bubbling around the shaft. Pulled the first seal, found sand and water. Packed it up and had the shop finish the rebuild with new seals. The tech said there slight corrosion on the bearings but I had caught it in time. Good luck.

are you sure it came out of the cone? cause it's double walled and a bit of water comes out of the outer wall. if there was water in the grease and bearing then you have an issue.

It wasn't just a little water. It was a good amount and not much grease left.

This is the grease part # from Sea-Doo for your application. 293550032

There can be some issues with grease. It depends what it is made up of. Some greases are not compatible.
