I like the Garmin GPSMap 76cx. I bought the GTX Limited glove box and cover which fits the RXT too. It fit's right in the top and is the exact size for the 76cx. Another way is to velcro to the glove box cover. I did that successfully for a year.

If you're simply looking for a max speed reading you may want to consider the garmin etrex legend. They're under $100. I got a handlebar mount for my etrex from GPSworld.com. It should come up if you search GAX10267. It's $16.95 for the mount.

If you don't care about looking at a map and all you want is speed, max speed, total distance and stuff like that, get the Garmin Forerunner 201. Strap it on your wrist and go.

That's what I do. No need to mount a huge ugly GPS on your ski and worry about it falling off in rough water.

The Garmin GPSMap 76x (not color) or cx or csx (c-color, s=sensor, x=memory chip) is the standard and the one seadoo uses on the Limited. Buy Bluechart for water maps, Metro or Cities for good street maps. I use mine in my car as well.
