Do you mean a milky film when you remove the flame arrestors?
How much water is in the hull?
Did you have any flashing lamps on the dash?

Are there any warnings on the display?

Sounds like it is in limp mode. I don't know what the white gummy stuff is in the carbs. Is there water in the oil or gas?

The white milky stuff is from the carbs sucking in water. You need to figure out where the water is coming from. I have a bilge pump for that ski that you can have if you need.

    Don't lean out the carbs.

Your bilge pump shouldn't be working 24/7 pulling tons of water out of the hull. Find out why you are taking in water that would allow half the hull to get filled up. You either have a loose water line or a serious hull leak.

The first thing I would check is crank index, you need to make sure the engine is alright.
Split the electrical box and look for water intrusion.
Spend the time to lift the electrical board and check for water droplets and/or rust, clean thoroughly or replace board if rust is found on board bottom.
And damn find that water leak!

Does it run up to 6500 rpms at all? I would like to hear what the compression is or what you have for a leak down test Per cylinder. Sounds like a seizer.
running fine. then it started the heistate at 3900 rpm so i changed the plugs. took it out today and it ran good at first then it would only run 3200 rmp and keep sthutting off.

    i fixed the pump

after i fixed the pump about a weak ago it does not fill with water at all. could the ski be out of timing. how do u check that. i work on cars alot and the ski sounds out of timing to me. think i am going to replace the carbs anyone have any suggestions to wich ones to use i would like it faster. it has only ran 6500 rpm like a couple of times not very often usally about 5700. thanks for all the help everone this site is great. one more thing where is a good place to get hop ups i would like to make this craft reach 70 mph and take off like a rocket
