Used parts warning and need advice

I bought some used V Force II's off a board member, who had said they were only 10 hrs old. When they arrived they looked very much older than 10 hrs, to the point the ends were curling up and corners were chipped. I disassembled them, cleaned them up, and flipped the petals over so they would seal properly. (maybe my fault?) Well I took the ski out yesterday for a few hours to break in the rings and see how she's running. (1.5 hrs on rebuild) MAG plug was always wet after plug chop testing. The other 2 were as dry as a popcorn fart. I noticed the Mag cyl was getting wet with fuel. So I ran the ski today on the hose to get a pic of the pissers working and had a mist cloud coming out of the MAG carb every time I goosed the throttle.Yep, cracked a reed petal in half. MY question's are 1. only half the reed petal came out with the cages. Do I need to split the cases to find half of a carbon fiber reed petal? (rebuild has a total of 5 hrs. run time on it after yesterday) 2. The pulse line had gas in it. Do I need to worry about hydrolocking the fuel pump? (it's as old as the rebuild) 3. Why would turning the top carb screws out not change anything? I was 1 full turn out from where it was set by the mechanic, and the plug chops never got wet on those 2 cyls. Do I need to go up on the main jets? Sorry about the long post.

I don't see a good wash pattern! I also was schooled not to flip reeds after they have been run in one direction? hopefully you spit the reed ll the way out? maybe check your water box? sorry for the bad time! ! Z

Can you bring us all up to speed on compression, jetting, timing etc.
Maybe a parts list to get us fresh and have some better ideas for you.

I don't see deto, just very lean. very similar to the wash on my rebuilt 750. I am now at 110 mains and 80 pilots and it still needs more gas.

I would fix the reeds and try again. Maybe go back to stock reeds until you get your jetting down to eliminate 1 variable?

First picture far left piston, enlarge the picture. You don't see all of those little dots at the outer edge of the piston?

    Never flip carbon fiber reeds.
