Cookes big black tube doesnt go under the man. it is just the end of the air intake that mounts to the seat, when the seat is on, atleast thats what it looks like

Dan, the intake hose actually runs under the modified intake up to the front of the ski.

    Real strange, but interesting.

Yes, it is 4" diameter. I think shibby knows of a link to buy hose by the foot.

i've been using a local place for my air intake and hosing needs. they stock everything and anything and they let me walk thru the warehouse to play with whatever i want and see what will fit my needs best. a few guys here on the boards have called them and ordered their materials and had it shipped.

    www.morelandhose.com

under their industrial hose menu, they have 4 brands... Kana Flex seems to have a good variety of products

they don't have online ordering or prices on the site, but they have a wide array of industrial products of all different strengths and diameteres. it's been working for me real well... i settled with 3" initially, but may consider upgrading to a 4" hose in the future if something becomes of these high flow supercharger housings

Steve i would stick to something around the size of the SC inlet. I wouldn't think that opening the intake up more and more would help. It could infact hurt. The smaller diameter tubing will help speed the air up as it approaches the SC inlet, making for a smoother more uniform flow.

Yeah i saved it in my favorites and it's no longer working. Thats the same pipe i was talking about using before Steve. Great minds think alike. Thats good stuff. Which one did you go with? The clear looks pretty spiffy.

there's sooo many options and things alike.... all have their own unique properties. some have nice tight bending radius, some have different heat withstanding, some different color, different working vaccuum psi pressure, woven metal helix re-inforcement, etc...

hopefully the site will be back up and running tomorrow and we'll discuss it more. if the topic of the hose types takes of, we'll split the topic because i hate to take over the TB topic started since that is a hot topic as well.

Xdime I tested air intakes for a long time, built a 3in system then built a 4in system that out performed the 3in by 100 rpm, then built a 4in and down sized to 3in right before SC and it was right in the middle. Im hoping that I can use that new 4in hose all the way to the SC
