    Cavitation issues..Ultra 150

Here it is.. 2 days before the bug and I'm just gettiing my crap back running.

Upon takoff.. I have NO hookup. I mean.. If I give it more than 10% throttle it breaks loose. Now I can trim it down all the way and play with it.. and get it up to speed... but if i stop.. or even slow down to much, I'm screwed.

Most of the stuff I've read says I silicone'd past the eyeglass holes, but I didn't. Here's a pic of what I did (As I'm not pulling it off yet.. I did an exceptionally good job by my standards and I'd hate to ruin that. lol)

The red is what is suggested for sealing the Plate.. The green is where I finished filling a gap, but as far as I can tell.. shouldn't have hurt anything.

I've also just had the pump reworked and have read that the big o ring on the pump could have not sealed. I've read use .. nothing.. grease.. silicone.. blah.. blah .. blah. I used nothing. Seemed to have sealed tight, but I've been wrong before.

    Any other ideas fella's?

No kinks in the pump seal, the round rubber gasket?

Did you check the clearence of the prop and outside area?

To many shims in the pump?

It's the one that was sent to skiworx.. Clearance looked good putting it on. The pump seal fit snugly and shouldn't have had anywhere it could kink.

Richard (way2fast) had the same problem on his ultra a couple years ago. He says his impellar was out of whack and was replaced by solas.

I guess I have no choice but to reseal everything and try it before I leave in the morning. If it still does it then I guess I'm not coming. Damnit.

Brandon; Like I said in the IM I just sent you,. Bet you tried to re-use the eyeglass seal. Crappy rubber doesn't hold shape properly when used more than once.

Yes, I did. I'll order a new one when I get everything else back together.

    Thanks.
