Carbon Tech Reeds...
Anyone have anything to say about them? I have the opportunity to buy a brand new set with stuffers for $150 shipped. I would like to try VF3s, but with racing stock class I need to run stock cages, although the reeds can be aftermarket. Any opinions? anyone running them?
As Always, thanks guys....

I use the boyeson dual stage pro series reeds and love them. They also fit on the stock cages and have both a fiberglass and a carbon reed that fit on top of one another..

I had the carbon tech reeds... I had 25 or so hours on mine,,,(stock set-up with protec stuffers) and they where shot.
I went with VF-3's and a massive hole shot differance.. I love the Nando set-up he sold me.. as a fact with the carbon-tech reeds I used stock jetting.. ran good all summer... I used the VF-3's,,, I almost burned it up i ran so lean. I went from 117 to 131 high jets!

When you changed reeds, did you see much improvement in performance? Rough guess on RPMS, etc. Also, do I understand that you simply replaced stock with these? Did you add the stuffers as well?
I'm wondering about these as a lower price alternative to the VF-3s.
Thanks in advance!

Yes these bolt on the stock cages, have a lower fiberglass reed that is overlapped with a carbon fiber reed. I liked the design. It all fit very well and yes i used their stuffers also. I think their kit with stuffers is around 325.00
