How to remove scratches from the hull

    HI,
    Anyone have scratch method?
My hull has a few small not deep scratches I'd like to fix.
They are very light and did not break through the gelcoat.
It is black RXT model so they're visible.

And how do you clean your hulls?

    Thanks in advance.

I use Marine cutting compound made by Solvol Autosol. It works exactly like T-Cut does on a car and gives a perfect result for the scratches you have described.

We do our ski twice a season with this and it looks like new - 05 RXT @100hrs

I just went through this after a rusty chain scratched the whole side, black hull too. They were pretty deep.

    1. used 1200 grit sandpaper and water just enough smooth out scratches
    2. rubbed with Meguiars Scratch X
    3. then used their 3 part cleaner/polish/wax

It works....scratches are completly gone gone
