RR parts list/prices...
Can I ponder some questions here about prices and extent of mods?
I'm looking to get the RR intercooler, SC impeller, all the plumbing, BOV, and that extra special piping from the waterbox to exhaust all from PPG with ROCX discount. Estimating about $1570 w/o shipping.
All the Stage 1 kits (RR, Riva, and PPG) are different, but RR uses stock airbox and doesn't seem to address any exhaust modding, but I'll have to read it after I post this to make sure.
I'm not wanting to do the ECU at this point mostly due to $ (just got back from vacation, need brakes for the Hoe, and my annual insurance tab is due on the skis + tabs).

If the supercharger shims and thinner head gasket is important enough for the RR Stage 1 then why not in other kits and not a mod mentioned amongst us here.

the RR kit doesn't specify that you need exhaust mods, but you do need the free flow kit, or exhaust pipe to make room for the intercooler.
You will also benefit greatly by removing the stock air intake and replacing it.

The price list you are looking at is a Mark Underwood/Race Tech price sheet. His stage 1 kit gives you the thinner head gasket which gives you more compression. It also gives you a special oil pressure jet that goes in the block. To me if you are going to remove the head to replace the head gasket you just assume send it off for porting for only $800 more. This in effect gives you Mark's Stage 2 kit.
Mark is one distributor of Rotax Racing products, PPG is the other. Either of them are great to deal with. Marks plumbing kit does not include a BOV because Rotax Racing in Austria has done testing and actually shows increased clutch wear with a BOV. PPG and Riva believe that the BOV reduces clutch wear.
Two different camps, two different opinions. Take it for what it's worth.

I have PPG's intake, would I be better off with an open element or will this suffice?
Too on the pricing, the Vortech SC impeller is selling for $360 which is about the same if not cheaper than the ROCX at PPG. In fact the intercooler is listed from Race Tech is only $10 more than ROCX discount. Is this about right, because there seems to be an issue with availability and it might be worth shopping around. Anyone know of price breaks for a package from Race Tech such as what I want (listed above)?

Thanks for the explanation - I wasn't sure if that was Mark U's price list. Is he hard to get a hold of? He's in Canada, right?

Try running the PPG air intake. I would be interested to see the results.
I don't know about any price breaks. I guess you would have to contact them.

I'll do that Hulk - contact Mark for pricing. And one last question, I promise (for this thread), does Mark have the same plumbing as this? All pieces?

No, Mark has this plumbing kit
as you can see there is no BOV and you utilize the stock exhaust hose.
there is nothing from keeping you from using PPG's mandrel bent stainless steel exhaust pipe though.
