Superman Alternative (Speed Blocks)
Ok, I just can't see myself falling off my ski at any high speed. I needed a solution that would allow me to put my weight as far back as possible, yet still maintain more contact than my belly. I came up with this idea. It isn't perfect, but it sure helps! My feet feel secure where without these I felt I could slip if I hit a wave. I suppose I could give them a fancy name like "Kryptonite Killer" and sell them, but instead I'll just tell you what I did...
Bought two rubber wheel chocks from WalMart (also available at Northern Tool). Fit a piece of square aluminum tubing inside the hollow underside. Drill and tap for some stainless screws to secure it. Drill and tap the rear underside for the eye bolt to secure it to your deck.
Remove the tie down grommets from both sides of your rear deck and install these. I used eye bolts and it provides a way to tie down the rear of the ski to the trailer as an added bonus! I can provide additional photos if someone is interested....
