    I made a Boo-boo

I stripped the screws that hold the inner 'body' of the carb inside.

get the biggest ACR phillips head you can find that will fit the holes, they have little ribs in the corners and really help on stripped heads..make sure you push HARD and slow you might be able to get them out

It seems I do that everyday at work

An impact driver does do the trick 98% of the time, some will still get mangled.

It can be hard to find new ones without ordering them through a dealer, but they are out there in some places.

I had one that I was able to use a chisel and hammer to get it to break loose. On another one I had to grind the head off.

I believe that the screws inside the carb are Japanese Industrial Standard (JIS), the proper screw drivers can be found at www.mcmaster.com. Your standard #0, 1 or 2 phillips screw drivers do not properly engage JIS fasteners and can strip the heads as shown. Not much help now but maybe helpful in the future.
