I thought they were made out of derilium and not plastic.

Were talking about wave eaters here right? You mean Delrin? or other tradename Acetal? both are Plastics. The RPM couplers are machined Billet aluminum.

    From wave eater site
I designed these linkage couplers to get rid of the loose fitting plastic factory pieces. I thought it was funny that Yamaha made such a big deal about having the cables adjusted perfectly but designed in so much slop that the front valve always lags the back by almost 10 degrees of movement. Actually the front valve never fully opens when using the stock couplers.

My couplers are tight fitting and use stainless steel pins for proper alignment and synchronization of valve movements. In other words all the valves fully open and open when they're supposed to. They are held in place with a stainless steel spring and are made from black delrin material.

    Bill:
Do you have any pics of the billet? Is the design the same principle; 2 pins @ 90 degrees of each other?

The company was RPM which is no longer in business since its founder Mark Hahn passed away. It was then taken over by Noble Racing along with all of the other products they made.
