Anyone use water injection on stock GP pipes?

Was just thinking about the jetworks mod, wouldn't using a water injection solenoid and MSD controller work the same but better, like mounted some where after the Dplate on the stock pipe? Just looking back on my XP with specII pipe. The water injection on that thing made a huge difference on bottom end... Just pondering here...
