750 keeps blowing #3 piston. Pre Mix??

We are getting ready to replace the #3 again. Last time it ran 2 hours before blowing. Have rebuilt the carbs and replaced the fuel pump. How do we change to premix and any ideas as to why the # 3 keeps blowing? We are using factory spec plugs.

When you say blowing, do you mean it looks all eroded and "melted", (for the lack of a better word) or does the piston top look like some debri has been smashing around in there?

    Was the motor ever hydrolocked?
Has the fuel selector valve been inspected/replaced?

    Please get pictures.

I call # 3 the one that is close to the back. We replaced the fuel pump with a new Mikuni pump.

The first piston had a hole in the top like it had been burned in. A local mechanic said it was too lean and or not getting enough oil. We have not taken the recent one out so do not know what it looks like but assume it is the same. I do not know what you mean by hydrolock. The fuel selector valve has not been inspected or replaced. I was hoping that switching to a premix would solve the problem.
Also we are using this on a Shuttle Craft. Someone recently told me that it might be too small of a ski to push the ShuttleCraft and that might be causing a problem. Could that be the case?

That shuttle craft is a killer ! I towed a bass boat one time and with my aftermarket temp Gage I was shocked how fast the temp would jump up
I had to let him go every few minutes and get some speed to cool it off!
so you better be on the rich side if you are pushing that puppy around! Z

another thing could be the pto crank seals are worn and its sucking in some air and leaning out the fuel mix. its doubtfull but you should check it to be sure.
