    2007 Sportster 155

For those that have bought one (Sportster 150) recently, have you had any issues? Did you get any items thrown in? And did anyone get the optional depth sounder? If so how much was it and how well does it work?

    Thanks

I got the 215 2 weeks ago, with the wake tower, trailer, cover, etc.

The only problems are the mirror shook off, but it only had 1 screw in it and it was barely tightened so poor QA but nothing 'wrong', and one of the seats popped out but that was partially my fault as one retaining plastic bolt popped and trying to get it back in I popped the other two...

Other than that, she's been a dream!

I've had my 150 SCIC since the beginning of January. Nothing thrown in, except a fire extinguisher and whistle. I bought and had the dealer install the bimini and depth finder. I had to wait several frustrating months for BRP to “write the software” to allow the depth finder to work after it was installed, but now that I have it, it works very well. It’s nice to have the finder integrated into the LCD instruments, but for $600, if I had to do it again, I’d just get a ~$120 aftermarket unit. No way I’m paying $600 for a cover on a 15’ boat; my Wal-mart cover works just fine. No major issues; minor issues have been: the steering wheel way out of alignment, an oil sensor went bad, and the driver’s seat became loose. I haven’t been able to use it for a couple of months, because a drought has my lake’s water level too low, and I refuse to run it again until I change out the SC washers anyway.

$600 dollars for the depth sounder, dang. Also is there a paint difference (color) between the 215 and the 155?

To the best of my knowledge, either one can be had in either available color scheme (red/black or yellow/black). The depth finder is about $450 itself with about $150 installation. The dealer BUDS is required to configure it.
