On a msx110 what is the job of the Intercooler?

The compressing of air generates a lot of heat. Wich hot air dose not burn well in an engine (less dense). So an intercooler will cool down the air, much like a raditor dose for the coolant in a car. The cooler you get the air the better it burns, and the more power the engine makes (more dense).
