    Thru Hull install- part 1...

well I got a chance to layout the hole for the thru hull, I also removed all that styrofoam, wifes ginsu knife came in handy for that , I decided to mount the backing plate sealing the plate to the hull with silicone, so when it cures I can mount the billet outlet tomorrrow, and the backing plate won`t fall or move when I remove the screws. In one of the pics you`ll see where I spread the silicone around the inside circumference of the hole to also seal up the edge of the fiberglass and gelcoat...PR...

Shibbs is right, make sure you drill straight!!!

PR looks real nice. I am glad to see someone as anal as I am!

After installing my RR IC I was wishing I had a through hull. It is all tight in there now.

LMFAO!!!! omg, i had a heart papulation when jerry said oh shit, wrong one, haha...

great idea siliconing the backplate first.... i had another guy to help me with my install.

i would honestly say that out of every modification, the thru-hull requires one of the most careful eyes and tool precisions when drilling those holes. the transom is angled, the holes gotta be drilled, yet if ur off by a LITTLE bit, the outlet and back plate will never line up, and if ur slightly off, your bolt holes will join with the outlet hole... and there is NOT alot of room to play. i took my sweet ass time on this install

lookin good PR, nice job... tough install, but WELL WORTH IT after u start it up that first time

yes meeper, lol... he has a 04 GTX SC, yellow.... same hull and design as the RXT

the RXP template won't even line-up with an RXT, so it should be of no concern.... but my jaw DEFINITELY dropped when i first read that, LMAO
