D Plate use on 1300r
I just bought a d plate for my 06 gp1300r and now I just heard that I HAVE to have the EFI controller in order to run the ski with it, or it will run to lean??? Is this true?? I need to know ASAP, seeing as I have a race coming up, and need the ski to be operational

You will be fine. I am assuming though you have nothing else done. I would add an EFI after messing with the intake or head.

from past reading (not experience) you are better off (power wise) to leave the cat in there for your race... the down side to the cat is failure not loss of HP.. someone please correct me if im wrong...

You are correct. Top speed wise you will be faster with the cat. With the d-plate you will loose a little bit on top and it might be faster out of the hole.

You need the D-plate to run jetworks.
And jetworks = holeshot.
