    Skat-Trak Adjustabe Venturi works wonders

What a great idea--quick to change venturi size and a super way to fine tune your RXP for what performance you want as to the weather conditions. I just installed their venturi and have five different size "rings." Tried them all out yesterday. The sizes are 80 mm, 80.5 mm, 81 mm, 81.5 mm, and82mm. The tests revealed the following. 80mm 8250rpms-- 80.5mm 8300 rpms---81mm 8350rpms---81.5mm--8400rpms--82mm--bangs limiter at 8500rpms. In my opinion this sure beats repitching the prop for waether condions or what ever. Only takes a few minutes to change a ring. I realize there are times the prop must be repitched when a big change is made--but for fine tuning--this cant be beat.

I would think that he saw at least a 1.5 mph gain from 80 to the 81.5.

glad to hear the stock size is so overly consistent

did i understand at some point in the past that 81mm is the sweet spot if u can get your RPMs perfect using the 81mm?

Is the Skat Trak better than the Solas ?

Wouldn't changing rings be mainly for weather changes ?

or if you dialed in your ski for a smaller venturi outlet would you get better performance than dialing it in for a stock 82 outlet ?

I found the Skat impeller to provide better acceleration than the Solas. I haven't had a chance to really dial it in for top speed yet.
