    Boost Gauge Installation ?

I'm leaving for the lake house in a couple hours (there's no internet there). I've got one of these fancy GH IC B/O's so I don't need to know where to drill a hole..

My question is: What electronic power source does the boost gauge hook up to? I'm assuming it plugs into the MPEM. How?

if its a normal gauge, it does not need power...

BUT if its an electronic gauge, then any SOLID PURPLE line is a 12v constant when the DESS is on...

If it does have wireing than you don't need to use it. It will be for light only and unless you drive in the dark you don't need to hook it up. I think.

if its got a plug on it then there is somwere to power it, if its just 2 wires then you'll have to do a search on this site to find a live with the lanyard on, as you know the pipeing can go to the stock intercooler blockoff. regards

    Thumbs up

Only picture I have of the front of my hull. Don't remember exactly which of the plugs it goes to, but, it's the purple one.

Like Danny said, just solder it into the solid purple wire going to the starter relay.

IS there a specific brand digital gauge you guys recommend ?
I'm glad I did some digging, I was about to buy a regular liquid filled AutoMeter on ebay tonight.

anybody using this type of gauge ? expensive, but I like how compact it is.

That is one of the ones that is often used by members of this forum. I too have bought it and hopefully sometime this week I'll install it.
