Exclamation help needed with old gtx

I took a job helping a freind with an old GTX. He rode it way too long with the pto bearing froze and the hose twisting on the hull part, where the hose clamps the hose to the hull. I have the new insert for it (I think that's what I need) but how do I cut( punch, pray or otherwise) put the new insert in? any help???

I have pics ready if I am not being clear?

    this insert ?

    it's a common problem....

Bombardier sells a brass insert like above that slides into the spun/damaged plastic thru-hull fitting. Ypu don't have to grind or cut.A little 2 part epoxy helps keep it in place well. When you apply the glue on the crosshatched part of the insert, spin it a little to make sure you cover the I.D. well..

The replacement hose you can also get at SeaDoo, RIVA, Atlantic Enterprised, Parker Yamaha, or take the damaged hose to OReilly, Autozone and buy a radiator hose (gates) that has the same I.D.

The pump has to be pulled. It is imperative you remove all of the water and bilge/bailer lines and bailer tubes that go though the hull into the pump (from the inside) before you pull the pump. Loosen and remove all zip ties and clamps.

    * Also, when you pull the pump, make sure you replace the neoprene seal and don't lose the bailer o-rings. Razor blade off the old silicone and Seal the pump to the transom well with black or ultra black RTV.

    * Inspect wear ring too while it is out.

    * Inspect pump oil too while it is out.

Yep That's the insert I have...
Now how do I make the shaft hole big enough for the insert? Is it supose to be big enough before the melt down.
I have the pump all out ect. I thought I knew how to do this one.. I was going to use 4200 to put the pump back in..
