    What do you think?

A buddy of mine that I ride with broke his ski. Took it back to the dealer to see what was wrong with it. Found a bent valvue. It had a stage 1 kit on it. The dealer told seadoo that it had the stage 1 kit and voided the warranty. The dealer split the cases leaving the ski in a 100 pieces returning it to him that way and charging him $510.00.

not much he will be able to do about it even if he gets a lawyer. Sounds like a rotten situation.

I'm not sure if this is 100% true or not, but I've heard that unless they can prove that a part in the stage 1 kit caused the problem then they can't void your warranty? At least that's what I've heard about switching out the ceramic washers for the metal ones.

Can anyone else shine some light on this?

Did the machine have the upgrades to the springs and whatnot. How was he riding the ski- throttle off when out of water? Anyway, why would they return it in pieces? That part is really unfair. Call the owner, make an appointment, but don't tell them what it is about until you get there.

No it didnt have the upgrade but it will now.

I dont think he got out of throttle when hitting waves.

The point to the post was the dealer should have removed the head found the bent vavle, not take the whole motor apart, voild warranty, return in pieces.
