    81mm ring?

Well I can finally say on Garmin GPS yesterday that the RXP hit 80.1 on six inch chop on four passes (thankyou Mark.) My question is what would happen if I went with an 81mm ring compared to a 82mm ring? I'm at top speed at 8550rpm 29 degrees. Also what intake would you suggest?

SMC congradulations on hitting 80 , On my stage 3 ,I am using a 82mm ring with the rotax racing ECU and it loves 8500 and peek out at 8550.Put in the 81mm ring run 78.5 at 8350-8400 doesnt like it .Are you using a 4 blade or 3 blade with that ring??

After a re-pitch to 15/18.5 by skat I hit 81.2 , 81.4, 81.0 W/ 81mm Nozzle @8520- 8540 RPM's on back to back runs up and down the river with 81.4 being with current. The re-pitched prop did all the justice.

Ulozer- pitch your prop tp 8500 RPM with the 81mm and you will like the 81mm..

Running a 15/20 solas bent to 15/18? Mark bent the prop last week. He did say that he wanted to try the 81mm but I wanted the ski for a week or so to go have fun- this info is great! I'll let him know what you guys have accomplished with your setups the way they are and maybe it will be easier for him to "dial it in." I am seeing 8550 no problem with the 82mm, I think there is just a little bit more in the boat. What intake grate are you guys running? My 48lbs are running a touch rich also. Sorry for babbeling......30 degrees up here.
