Smile R-rated Peerformance Intake Installed And Tested!

Received and installed the R-Rated Performance intake system today! The installation was straightforward and not difficult.
The only modification that I did that was not done on the kit.........I welded a 3/4" nipple on the tube to attach the catch can hose to control crankcase ventilation.

Performance???......The unit works just as advertised...........increased performance!!!

Much improved acceleration and midrange power and about 50-60 rpm gain on top end.

The temps were at 94+ degrees and humidity was 78%, the unit was tested before and after within an hour of each other, in nearly the worst conditions possible. HOT AND HUMID! Even with the terrible air conditions.................the R-Rated intake system made a difference that you could feel as well as hear..............it sounds AWESOME!

Thanks to Rudy and everyone at R-Rated!!!!!

THE R-RATED UNIT IS MOUNTED HIGHER AND FURTHER IN THE HULL...."GREATLY" REDUCING THE RISK OF WATER INGESTION COMPARED TO THE RIVA UNIT............... THE AIR INTAKE IS LOCATED JUST BEHIND THE ECU..............

Did you gain anything on top end? How about acceleration? Does it pull harder?

    Pix of R-Rated Intake

Here are a few pix of my R-Rated Intake installed. To cut down on any extra water ingestion I fabbed up a pair of covers to go over the intake holes in front of gauge cluster, made from "Outerwears" type material. Last photo shows a better picture of what I'm talking about, but under the rear seat. RPMs have gone up a little, and have noticed more mid-range pull.
