HELP, found OIL in footwell 06GP1300R

Hey everyone. I have a question about oil that was spotted on my ski. I went riding a wk ago and before i left i filled my oil tank up. I accidentally overfilled it and it ran down the LEFT side in the foot well. Well i rode the whole day, and then cleaned it at home/Flushed and washed. Today, a wk later i go out and see a small collection of oil on the RIGHT side foot well, where there i no oil opening or anything. I am concerned, because i dont know if there is somewhere where it could be leaking on the right side that is allowing it to poor out. I have not removed any plastic, but just see where it has ran out from under neath the gold side panel. I could be just crazy, but i dont want to tear the ski up, but for the life of me cant figure how any left over oil stayed on the ski after rideing and washing and leaked out a wk later. If anyone nows of any spot on the RIGHT side where it could be leaking please let me know...Thanks guys

There is a vent for the oil tank on that right side under the cowling.

The easy way to avoid the mess is to take the seat off and watch the oil tank fill as you pour. You can see through the plastic tank, stop just before it gets full. If its not light enough to see in there just remove the storage bucket for more light. I used to just try and fill it up and that oil would leak out for a week and drive me nuts.
