Sounds like the off throttle steering assist. Keep the handle bars straight and see if it returns to idle.
When your not on the gas and turn the bars, it will idle up for steering assist.

Lots of 250's are bumping into things at idle because of some type of inherent idle surge. It's probably not related to the off-idle steering. Don't feather the throttle on the 250 like you would on any other craft.

    Had the same problem

This happened to me, so I brought it to the dealer for my 10 hour check, and he found that the rubber flange on the handlebar grip pinched the throttle.

He said that was the third ski that happened to, and it was a 1 minute fix.

Well I thought it was the assist steering as well but no chance I turned it, didnt turn it, had nuttin to do with it, As for a pinch I'm gonna go look right now...

Well Mr. Lentini... You are a real cool guy let me tell ya lol.. I just touched the stupid handlebar that was pinching the throttle and that was exactly the problem... It was the perfect mistake too like ya cant even tell looking right at it unless you knew to look for that. Thanks alot now i can go beat on it tomorrow...
