identifying clyinder heads
Hello everyone could someone please advise me onthe yamaha cylinder heads. I know someone local that is selling a set but don,t know if they are the 66v gp1200 heads or 60t gp1300r heads without seeing the part numbers on a box,

If you're talking about the stock heads the 1200 head covers are flat on top, the 1300 head covers are rounded on top. If they're aftermarket heads you'll need to measure the diameter of the domes - 80mm for 1200 and 84mm for 1300.

66v 1200 is a two part head and a 60T is a one part head On a 66v it has a seperate top cover the 60T is all made as one part.
