    Reverse bucket mod

Has anyone shortened the flat metal peice that connects to the reverse bucket in the back to bring the bucket up higher? I've seen mods to cut some material out of the bucket for better water flow but with a wedge and trim all the way up it still is in the way. Looked at the bucket and the connection on top of the bucket and it seems shortening the flat metal bar would bring the bucket up higher.

If you did that, I don't think the bucket would come down far enough when You actually need to use the reverse.

Seems to me that adjusting it up some would be no different than grinding part of it off, the part that you grind off doesn't reappear when you flip the bucket down. I'm gonna try adjusting mine first and will let you know what it takes to get it out of the way.

when u trim the bucket, u lose just as much reverse... so it doesn't really matter, haha. I venture to say you lose MORE reverse by cuttin the bucket than you would if u grinded the stopped back.

It appears if you move the bucket higher and then try to use reverse it will come down enough. The part that gets cut out, if you go that route, seems sufficient enough to still enable reverse. Its just when you shorten the metal peice, the bucket will move completely out of the way when trimming up.

If you look at the bucket all the way down it comes down quite a bit and well past the bottom of the exit nozzle so there should be plenty of room.

I was just wondering if anyone has tried it yet. I am going to try and do this since I will have my pump apart anyways.

Trim your reverse as shown here and you will be fine: http://greenhulk.net/?p=52

I lost no reverse ability after doing this mod.

If you run a wedge this is a must do mod.
