    Better than last season

Just wanted to share some improvements since last season, the only things I did over the winter was true my hull and put in a new impeller in, that was tweaked by a guy in MN that's really good. Picked up about 150 rpm and about 2.2 mph. It was consistent over 70 most of the time with a best of 70.4 most of the runs were at 3/4 to a half of tank of gas and using a Garmin 301 fore runner that is now at the bottom of Lake Mohave. Also found out that this PWC makes a wonderful platform for Barbies.

How do you true a hull? And who was the guy in MN that tweaked the impeller?

From what I've read - to true a hull you take a sanding block with 1000 grit sandpaper and gently sand the bottom of the hull. All the low spots stay shiny.. you need to fill these in so they're level with the rest of the hull. You'll also notice the high spots- try and knock these down as much as possible. You would also want to fill in all the gaps between the rideplate, shoe, etc so the bottom is nice and smooth from bow to stern. Just like with porting an engine, those crevices creates swirls of water that slow you down.
