    Battery Quick Disconnect

Has anyone installed a battery disconnect? Something like a fork and blade or small switch?

I dont want to install a large battery switch like on our boat, too big and bulky.

    I appreciate any feedback.

We leave the RXT's in storage at the lake and I was going to reach in and disconnect/shut off the battery from drawing anything while we are away.

Anyone worried this may require re-programming with BUDS after if we do so?

I had installed a switch in my old GSXL years ago, in the rear...Just open the seat, turn it on/off...worked fine, same battery for 3 years cranked the same all 3 years...

was gonna do the same switch style to my RXP, just want to put a better location before I mount one...

I can add this: I added a Moroso water proof battery switch designed for this environment, it got wet, not a direct spray or anything, but nonetheless it got wet and little did I know water was in the switch (red plastic key type) and freaked out the electrical on the RXDI...
I thought I was safe with it being waterproof ...PR...

I wouldn't worry about the draw. I've let mine sit hooked up and untouched for 3 months without any issues... not even a 12v low warning.

    Thanks all,

    Danny, WOW, what a project.

Brian, thanks for the info on the low draw....will follow that lead and leave well enough alone for now.

gotta figure out this washer business first!
