    Home Garage PWC Sling/Davit

I hope to get my 2nd ski (SD GTX) back sometime soon. Trying to decide whether to keep or sell. One consideration is whether I can transfer it easily on and off a double trailer onto dolly by myself (I know how to do it with 2 people). Wonderin how difficult and expensive it is to install an at home sling or davit assembly to do it.

Have a winch put on your dolly. You can move it around in 2 minutes flat, by yourself after that.

Can you be more specific? What kind of winch? Do you use a fixed pulley from the ceilin or something? Sorry to be so basic but I've not seen this equipmt before.

See that winch on the front of your trailer?

When it's time to replace it, dont' throw it away. Mount it on your dolly and pull your skis onto the dolly.

I'm real sorry to be dense on this but I guess I was asuming you have to lift the ski up and off the trailer as I see done at the dealer. Yur sayin winch it backwards off the trailer onto the dolly, right? (ya gotta brake it down for the kid, jack and jill went up the hill, each had a quarter, jill came down with 50 cents and jack came down with...)

Gosh darnit, everyone says I OVERTHINK. I've got a can of that Liquid Roller Trailer Bunk lubricant layin around somewheres that I bet would help. I'm gonna run up to Costco tho and ask for an econo tub of marine grade KY Jelley. Bet that works even better. Thnx for the tip, I may just keep the SD!

That sling is only a 700lbs capacity. Watch your toes!
